Large porcelain group in biscuit depicting "Amour et Psyché" (Love and Psyche). Psyche, a young girl of legendary beauty, is caught styling her hair, assisted by Amour holding a mirror. The goddess is depicted naked, her body reminiscent of the Greek aesthetic ideal. The leaning, slightly contrapposto position emphasizes the curves of her body and shows her sensuality. Late 19th century, Circa: 1890 Dim: W:38cm, D:28cm, H:69cm. In very good condition.
