Bronze group after Lemire (1741-1827)
A nice bronze group depicting madness vanquished by two cupids after CHARLES-GABRIEL SAUVAGE (1741-1827) DIT LEMIRE. There is a replica of this bronze exceuted in biscuit de Niderviller part of the collection of Lucien Surmont sold in 1912 in Paris, Hôtel Drouot.The original model was created by Lemire, sculptor born in Lunéville who worked in Niderviller from 1779 to 1806.
