A small ormolu inkwell with two pots with two ink buckets and their lids decorated with pinecones and two pen holders hemmed by twisted patterns. In the center, a putto kneeling, holding in his hands a ribbon tied around its neck, bearing a wreath forming plug. The inkwell rests on a rectangular breche d'Alep marble base decorated on the sides with foliated branches, wreaths and ribbons in gilt bronze. The gilt bronze pedestal is finely chiseled with a frieze of leaves.
