Elegant sweetmeat basket in Creusot cut-crystal chiseled with pattern leaves evoking a laurel wreath and silver mount. The S-shaped handles, partially fluted and finely chiseled with foliage and cornucopias with fruit. A shaped plug pinecone decorated, at the bottom, with circumscribed palmettes, crowns the removable lid. The sweetmeat basket rests on a square base adorned with leaves and interlacing and for claw feet highlighted with foliage. Executed by Charles Louis DUPRE, master silversmith in 1827. Marked Ceres-Vieillard (1818-1838).
