Edouard Paul DELABRIERRE (1829-1912): Important bronze in golden green patina on a heavy stone base "Lioness providing its littles hare" Signed on a brass plate. We know little about his life but his works are often at the Salon in the second half of the nineteenth century, with a penchant for hunting scenes. He is influenced by Barye. Our bronze appears the first time at the Salon in 1892 in a plaster model titled "Le premier gibier".
