French early nineteen century Empire clock in ormolu and black marble base
Empire period mantle clock representing a woman draped in antique dress, in a chariot pulled by a swan, playing with a dog. Lobster patterns adorn the sides of the chariot. Oval black marble base, with cut sides resting on four feet. Gilded bronze elements such as scallops, goats rushing with tails of mermaids and fauns masks adorn the base. Enamel dial with Roman numerals, original movement in working condition.
