French late 19th century light blue porcelain casket
Casket in light blue porcelain with bronze mounts resting on four feet. The lid is decorated with a central scene showing a man playing a musical instrument to his beloved, sitting in a landscape, in the style of the eighteenth century. On both sides of the scene a putto is represented in a medallion encircled with red enamel imitation pearls. Arabesques with threads of gold, heightened with white and translucent red enamel, adorn the rim of the box.
