French nineteen century blue enameled and gilded bronze mount casket from Bourg en BresseA square box of "Bresse" blue enamel with gilt bronze mounts. Convex plates are decorated with arabesques in gold fillets and seed of flowers adorn the five sides. Enameled imitation of pearls with turquoise and opals adorn the flowers and frames the plates. The box rests on four feet spinning tops covered with leaves. In the pure tradition of the "Bresse" region, the enamels "Bressans" always made in Bourg en Bresse, are a unique expertise, dating back to the nineteenth century. Entirely handmade, they are recognizable by its decorations of arabesques and enamel relief in imitation of semi precious pearls are heated in the oven at 860 ° C.
