Gilt bronze cartel clock in Louis XV style with a putto
A violin-shaped cartel in gilded and chiseled bronze adorned with flowers, waves and volutes. The white enameled dial with Roman numerals is surmounted by a putto holding a compass and a sundial. Flare and quiver bas-relief beneath the dial. With the Louis XV style, largely imitated in the second half of the nineteenth century, the bronze decoration takes its full extent. Some objects are only adorned with a stunning symphony of rococo patterns that intersect and overlap. Foliage and flowers are involved in this movement full of vitality and yet perfectly balanced. Original movement in working condition.
