A group after Filippo Della ValleA group in terra cotta after Filippo Della Valle ( 1698 – 1768 ), showing Eros and Psyche as two young children. They are entwined and rest on a roc. Back winged Eros, with an arch and quiver. There is a larger marble version of this group in the Wallace collection in London. It was long attributed to Augustin Cayot ( 1667-1722 ) and is now thought to be by Filippo Della Valle ( Florence 1698 – Rome 1768 ).
