Important candlesticks in bronze after the antique with two ephebes
Pair of large candlesticks in patinated bronze mounted in lamps. Two thoughtful ephebes, slightly covered with a lion's skin, one playing the flute and the other lost in his thoughts, leaning on a tree decorated with stylized flowers. The upper trunk ends with an oil lamp. The base with palms enhanced by four curved feet. Mixture of natural motifs and classical repertoire (Greco-Roman) specific to the of the mid-nineteenth century.
