Oil on panel by Renato Guerrini (1938-)A Guerrini's painting representing four women dancing: their bodies, drawn with that synthetic and clean sign which is a characteristic of his work, stand out against the whirl of colours and movement of the background. Oil on wood, signed bottom right. Guerrini was born near Siena, Tuscany (Italy) in 1938. He begins his studies in the Art Institute of Siena but he wasn't keen on the teaching which was too academic. Therefore he starts working in a ceramic workshop in Siena, continuing his art studies by himself. His first personal exhibition, which took place in 1961 was very successful, on the spectators as well as on the critic's viewpoint. He received many prices and periodically exhibits in Italian art galleries.
