Pair of giltwood mirrors

A pair of Italian Giltwood twin light girandoles decorated with a foliate scallop shell and c-scroll crestings above rocaille cartouche frames.The rococo style follows the Italian baroque and use the patterns largely diffused as the shell, the movement, primacy of decor on the form, of the curved on the straight line. It is the omnipresence of rococo patterns which blend flora and fauna.This pair of 19th century mirrors imitates the one of the 18th century.
