Two gilded bronze medallions representing the rape of Helen and abduction of Cassandra
Pair of medallions in gilded bronze representing the rape of Helen by Priam and the abduction of Cassandra by Ajax. We find a similar pair of medallions on Louis XVI period furniture, including two low cabinets stamped by Etienne Levasseur (1721-1798) in the Wallace Collection in London.
