Empire inkstand crafted of ebony, gilt bronze and crystal. Exhibiting an exquisite design of Mercury heads and palmette, this set is comprised of two cut-crystal jars, serving as an inkwell, upon a rectangular ebony base highlighted with swans drinking from a fountain. The jars are cut in a diamond point motif, which is accentuated by gilt bronze corks embellished with latticework. A snake ornate the central ring.

Condition Report

In overall good condition, the wooden base with some cracks. A jar with small chips at the neck.
