French antique 3-piece cruet service in Directoire/Consulate style.
The set consists of two cut crystal bottles : two carafes for oil and vinegar, held in place on a rectangular silver platter decorated with pierced foliage, resting on four lion feet. The Neoclassical inspired design incorporates caryatids and a basket of flowers serving as a plug. The two bottles are beautiffuly crafted in diamond-cut crystal.
The silver structure is stamped with :
- the Haed of a Greek women and the letter P, hallmark used between the years 1793 and 1794.
- silversmith's mark A.M. for Ambroise MIGNEROT, used between 1800 and 1818. His offices were first located 2 rue Jean Robert, then 62 Rue du Temple.
- Paris Minerva guarantee stamp, in use from 1809 to 1819. Silver weight : 596 gr.

This oil and vinegar cruet set is in very good condition, with minimal wear and spotting on the handles and corks, ans some slight scratches on the silver consistent with age and use.
