ART DECO ROSEWOOD, MAHOGANY AND SHAGREEN BUFFET

sold
Current stock : 0

Buffet in varnished rosewood, with raised top, opening by four doors, the two central ones lined with havana shagreen. Shagreen is a cartilaginous fish leather used in cabinet making, sheathing and more recently in leather goods. Halfway between leather and mineral, shagreen is covered with silica beads. It has different appearances: grainy and shiny, or sanded. Our sideboard has an interior with shelves and drawers mounted in mahogany. It rests on four sabre feet, the front feet of which are finished with silver-plated clogs.
