Literature
The WMF Group (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige. Later, it acquired several companies incorporating their specialties into the group. In 1890, WMF acquired the Kunstanstalt für Galvanoplastik München, which specialized in electrotyping of statues for buildings, fountains and gardens. This became the Abteilung für Galvanoplastik (Galvanoplastic Division) of WMF. During the 1920s, Abteilung für Galvanoplastic produced large-scale Renaissance and Art Deco bronzes.
