Art Nouveau clock in chiseled and gilded bronze. The frame represents a nude woman lying in a leaf and a child holding a flower. They are in a leafy setting. The circular enamelled dial indicates the hours in Arabic numerals. It is decorated with flowers in curved lines. The plate is signed A.D. Mougin.It is numbered 3576.


Adolphe Mougin (1848-1928) is a French clockmaker who received various medals at the Paris World Fairs in 1889 and 1900. He made eclectic clocks imitating the styles of the past before working on Art Nouveau works around 1900.

En bon état. Usure du temps à la dorure. Léger éclat sur l'émail du cadrant. Le mécanisme a été révisé et fonctionne.
