Bronze sculpture with brown patina featuring two horses rearing in a fight. Stallion fighting was a recurring theme in the 19th century literature, painting and sculpture; it is a tactic that can be used to dislodge a predator, to fight one another, or to add force when striking out with their front feet. The group is resting on a rectangular white marble base.
