French cheval floor mirror crafted of mahogany and mahogany veneer, standing on sinuously curved legs terminating in claw feet with wheels. In furniture, a cheval glass is a full-lenght mirror mounted so as to swivel within a frame. Our antique mirror features an intricate ormolu ornamentation composed of hunters, putti and masks that embody the classically-inspired style of the Consulat period. Elegant caryatids highlighted with gilded and patinated accents top the supporting columns.
