column Neoclassical column with Corinthian capital in gilded bronze. The shaft is in cherry red marble and the top in Vert de Mer marble. The column rests on a double pedestal with steps, decorated with a frieze of acanthus leaves in gilded bronze. The base of the column is bordered by a garland of laurels, a common decorative motif under Louis XVI. Period XIX°, Circa: 1850 Dim: W:27cm, D:27cm, H:125cm. In very good condition, small chips of use at the level of the base. The alternation of the cherry red and Vert de Mer marble is of a very nice effect.
