Early 18th century commode with veneered rosewood and a red marble top. The sides of the dresser curve gently, giving a sense of movement. It features four drawers whose rows are separated by a brass, striped groove. The set of drawers is richly decorated with gilt and sculpted bronze in the forms of masks, busts, shells, openwork cornucopias, and sphinxes.
