An exquisite example of Empire Revival style, this lyre-form clock is crafted of ormolu and chiseled with acanthus leaves and music trophies. Signed "L. Nollaeys Dany à Dunkerque".

Designed in the Empire style, this large mantel clock is mounted in a beautiful lyre-form ormolu frame accentuated by exquisitely detailed decoration composed of acanthus leaves, flowers and music trophies. The gilt bronze dial is signed: "L. NOLLAEYS DANY A DUNKERQUE". The upper part, designed as a portico, features four Ionic columns supporting a crowned female bust, flanked by flowering vases. The lyre rests on a foliated foot above a rectangular base embellished with acanthus and floral motif on a matting background. 19th century, Napoleon III period.

Condition Report
In overall good condition, with minimal signs of wear typical to age and use. The clockwork has been cleaned, serviced, and is in working condition. The pendulum was replaced later.
