Brown patina bronze sculpture featuring a juggler balancing on a small circular base, manipulating three balls. The base is chased with water leaves and small pearls. The bronze is presented on a black marble base. Signed on the base: "Cl. JR COLINET". Marked "Bronze garanti Paris J.E déposé". The balls are gilded with gold leaf. Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (Brussels, 1880-Asnières-sur-Seine, 1950) was a French sculptor active in the first half of the 20th century. She is best known for her Art Deco statuettes of exotic dancers in bronze. Her models include odalisques, dancers, jugglers and cabaret performers. Art Deco period, Circa: 1930 Dim: W:15cm, D:23cm, H:50cm. In very good condition.
