Set of two Art nouveau vases crafted of cut-crystal, gilt and silvered bronze featuring a young fisherman and a farmer. The farmer holds a scythe, symbol of harvest while the fisherman carries a fisherman's net and holds fish. The two men are holding the crystal cups with poly-lobed edges. Both figures are set upon a naturalistic base decorated with floral and vegetal motifs on mat ground.

Condition Report
In overall very good condition.

Literature
Everyday life and working-class scenes are characteristic of the Romantic movement. Gardeners, fishermen, farlers, merchants, or Cupids disguised as clowns or musicians were popular figures that decorated clocks, candlesticks, vases and inkwells.
