2 500€
Inkwell penholder in black moulded Marble, topped by a statuette in bronze with brown patina representing "Moses" by Michelangelo.
The statue of Moses, executed around 1513-1515 for the Tomb of Julius II in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, is a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance. The Renaissance, like the Middle Ages, was a rich source of inspiration for 19th-century artists, who delighted in imitating or interpreting the works of past centuries.
Our Inkwell has two golden bronze cups at the ends of the Marble tray, and a penholder at the front.
