A French mid-19th century bronze group of MyISAMne riding the panther, after a model by the Dutch sculptor Johann Heinrich DANNECKER (1758-1841). It was invented in 1803 for a sculpture commissioned by the baron Moritz von Bethmann at Frankfort. MyISAMne's hair is attached in a low bun, decorated with a ribbon. Our group rests on a bronze rectangular base and a green marble plinth. Brown patination.
