Beautiful Charles X pair of candlesticks in patinated and gilded bronze. The shafts present caryatids with bare chests whose drapery is retained at the waist by a gilded belt. They hold back their skirts to reveal their feet. They wear golden armbands with patterns of Greek waves. The bobeches are placed on their heads on a cushion decorated with bangs and tassels. The cylindrical base is decorated with friezes of meanders and fine dots. The bottom is decorated with patterns of lotus flowers and shells.

The subtile modelling of the bodies and the fine carvings make them very elegant refined.

This orientalist ensemble is typical of the taste during the Charles X period.

Dimensions: D: 12cm; H: 31cm
