Review

This pair of Imperial Black marble pedestals is crafted in the second half of the 19th century. Formed as Doric columns, these neoclassical pedestals are decorated with flutes. The capital supports the plate designed to display a light fixture or an objet d'art.

The Imperial Black marble, also called Golzinne marble, is a very homogeneous black marble used in furnishing during the reign of Napoleon III. Decorative and elegant in their minimalist detail, these luxury classical columns add an air of sophistication to any modern or contemporary setting.
