Pair of Louis XV candlesticks in gilt and chiseled bronze, cast and designed in the taste of Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier (1695-1750). Beautifully crafted, these candlesticks are exemplary of the Rococo aesthetic. Children, gadrooned foliage and curves of acanthus leaves decorate the stem. Each candelabrum rests on a base carved with naturalistic and voluptuous motifs, above four foliated feet.
