Mid-19th century pair of Neoclassical white marble pedestals designed in an architectural manner. The entablature of each stand is supported by an arch, and the arch supported by two columns with Corinthian capitals. The scheme is Classical, imitating the structure of a niche. In Classical architecture, the niches are intended to receive statues and are often flanked by columns or pilasters. The back of both pedestals has no decoration.
