Napoleon III religious clock in Louis XIV style inlaid with turtle shell, ebony and brass imitating Boulle marquetry. Very beautiful architecture of the cabinet, the door flanked by two pilasters surmounted by Corinthian capitals. The dome decorated with torches, is detached from the body by a gilt bronze gallery. The large dial, with Roman numerals indicating the hours, is embellished with two cornucopias, a mask and two putti holding a crown. It is signed "Chatelain à Paris". The clock rests on its original base above eight ball feet.

In very good condition. The clockwork has been cleaned, serviced and is in working condition.
