Two pairs of Lucignano model curtains by Fadini-Borghi and their valances, surmounted by a gilded wood banister decorated with movements, moldings and carvings of masks, flowers and a frieze of stripes of ovum. The curtains are in cotton damask, decorated with baskets overflowing with red flowers on a yellow background. The valances are decorated with three masks of elderly, bearded men with feathered heads in the center and corners. The curtains originally date from the 19th century, circa 1850; the hanging systems are modern. The curtains are fully lined in red cotton, and can be lengthened slightly with a deep hem. The curtains have metal hook fastenings, and the valances have a Velcro fastener.

Fadini Borghi specializes in Italian luxury weaving. Today associated with Pierre Frey, it was founded in Turin in 1947 to create traditional Italian fabrics for furnishings, notably damasks. In 1975, it acquired the Borghi house, specialized in Genoa velvets. With this exceptional know-how, they create productions inspired by their textile archives dating back to the 16th century. Since the partnership with Pierre Frey, Fadini Borghi has concentrated on contemporary productions.
