Large bronze figure with brown patina featuring a young woman holding a parrot on her arm. In the other hand she is holding an egg. The parrot trainer rests on a small base signed "Drouot". Antique cast, late 19th century period.

Condition Report

In overall very good condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.


Edouard Drouot (1859-1945) is a French sculptor actif at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. He was appreciated for his varied subjects and the sense of expression. From 1889, he presented at the Salon busts, figures, allegories, oriental and mythological compositions. Many of his works were reproduced in bronze.
